Ages 3-Kindergarten

Dancers will learn exercises and basic ballet movements that promote coordination and spatial awareness while building strength and gaining flexibility. Class includes floor and center exercises. Students will move across the room exploring natural movements and musical rhythm and use props designed to improve fine and gross motor skills. They learn to focus, take turns, and follow directions as well as appropriate etiquette, respect for others, and gain self-confidence. Classes are taught in a nurturing environment to foster a joy of dance.

Parents are invited to observe a class each fall and spring semester. Learning a dance is included in the spring semester. Students are encouraged but not required to participate in the yearly Student Showcase in June.
